Job description – Quantity Surveyor (Civils)
Athlone based Civil Engineering organisation are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with industry experience and who is experienced in working in large civils projects, with focus on renewable energy.

Des Nally has taken part in some of Irelands largest solar projects including Irelands largest solar farm project in Ballymacarney Co Meath.
Key Responsibilities .

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for civils & renewable based projects .
• Conducting valuations and preparing applications for payment for work completed, ensuring timely submissions.
• Assessing and managing change orders, pricing variations, and ensuring client approval before implementing changes.
• Developing detailed and accurate cost estimates and bills of quantities (Bo Q) for civil projects, often in the tendering phase.
• Monitoring project budgets, providing cost-value reconciliations, and managing financial reporting to keep projects within budget constraints.

Minimum Requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying , or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 -10 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a focus on Civils projects, renewables.
• Strong knowledge of civils contracts, procurement methods, and cost control techniques.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
