Senior UI / UX Developer

Are you a seasoned front-end developer with a strong background in React and a sharp focus on design and user experience? We’re looking for a UI/UX Lead who combines deep expertise in frontend technologies with a passion for crafting intuitive, visually compelling user interfaces. In this important role within our small, high-impact team, you’ll drive both product and team development, engaging directly with customers, setting technical direction, and mentoring junior developers. Required Experience:

Frontend Development: 8+ years of experience in building and optimising web interfaces.
Advanced expertise in Java Script, HTML5, and CSS3.
Extensive experience with React.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
Skilled in setting technical direction, defining product vision, and leading development teams.
Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing user-centric UX/UI designs

Desired Experience:

Experience with data visualisation libraries.
Experience with testing frameworks like Jest to ensure code reliability and quality.
API Design: Capable of offering insightful feedback on API design and architecture.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to drive effective problem resolution and innovation.

The type of person we are looking for:

UI/UX Leadership: Drive and lead the UI/UX design and development for the platform, ensuring a user-first approach.
Customer-Facing Problem Solving: Engage directly with customers to understand their challenges, define use cases, and design solutions that address their needs.
Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior developers, helping them grow in both technical and design capabilities.
Full Project Lifecycle Involvement: Own the process from ideation through to design and implementation, ensuring high-quality execution.
Remote Work: Proven experience of working effectively in a high-performance, remote environment, collaborating closely with peers while thriving in this setting. Also available for in-person meetings when required.
Collaboration: Work closely with industry experts to define the scope and specification of use cases.
Empathy for User Needs: A strong sense of empathy for users, with an ability to understand and design around their needs and challenges.

Hungry to learn new domains from other experts in the team.

Hiring process:

An introductory call with a member of our team
A technical screen and meeting with the Hiring Manager, involving a problem-solution / coding exercise.
A final interview with members of our leadership team
