About The Role
Reporting to the Head of SHEQ, the SHEQ Office plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment within Indigo. Provide guidance and support to management and employees to minimize workplace hazards, prevent accidents, and protect the health and well-being of all staff. The role will be predominately field based within Ireland with the option of hybrid working for administrative duties. There will be opportunities for UK and European travel depending on the needs of our clients and the business.

Some key responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:

  • Onsite auditing and site inspection of Indigo and subcontracting teams.
  • Conducting toolbox talks and safety related training and awareness for Indigo staff and subcontractors.
  • Inspection and tracking of staff Fall Protection PPE.
  • Assisting project teams with the development of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • Assisting project teams with the development and maintenance of Qualified Persons Lists (QPL)
  • Completing accident/incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing preventative actions.
  • Attending client SHEQ meetings and joint Client/Indigo site visits as required.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Assist with general SHEQ administration including:
  • Tender and Pre-Qualification Questionnaires
  • Update of SHEQ registers and trackers
  • Maintenance of Indigo’s Business Management System to support company certification (ISO, Safecontractor etc.)
About You
Full Driving License Required - This is a remote role: typically you'd work from home one day a week, and travel to our customer sites across Ireland.

  • Excellent standard of written and spoken English
  • Must be well organised and able to prioritise and manage multiple requests and activities concurrently.
  • Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to work with, and support a diverse team of professionals.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A Degree, Diploma, or relevant commercial qualification
  • A self-starter, requiring little or no supervision with a positive attitude and outlook and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to take ownership of an issue and see things through to the end.

Experience

  • Some previous SHEQ experience required albeit internal training and development will be provided.
