Skipper ( Co. Mayo)
Come work with us! We are offering an exciting opportunity as a Skipper in our West of Ireland sites . This will be a permanent position based at our Seawater farms near Clare Island Co. Mayo.
The successful candidate will be part of team and report directly to the Subsea Services Manager and will have the opportunity to progress within our Seawater department.
This post is offered on a full time, permanent basis. The preferred candidate will work a 39hr week, any 5 days out of 7.
If you have a passion for fish farming and you have excellent fish husbandry, people management and organisational skills, are ambitious and motivated and want to work with a likeminded team, then this is the role for you.

His/her main functions will include:

• Vessel Skippering.
• ROV /Foover operations.
• Other duties as required may include:
  • Grading , Transfers, Weighing.
  • Net changes
  • Maintenance of nets and cages.

• Record keeping
• Environmental Monitoring

To be successful in the above role, successful candidates should possess:

• Skippers Ticket , ( A Master 200 GT desirable)
• Previous experience in farming environment ( Aquaculture environment desirable).
• Good communication skills.(English)
• Experience with computers would be an advantage.
• IT literacy , an advantage.
