Social Care Worker

Embrace are recruiting Social Care Workers for our new children's residential house in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, due to open in Winter 2024. We are seeking applications from Social Care Workers who have a passion for supporting people in the community and helping them to develop within their homes. The successful candidate will be joining a strong team and will be overseen by a supportive management team.
Our ambition is to offer a strengths-based service that focuses on residents’ core interests and encourages their development of new skills. Underpinning all of this is an understanding that we are offering a home for people, and an assurance from us that these homes offer a range of home comforts, and on-site amenities and enable local engagement with community initiatives and organizations.
Social Care Workers – Requirements
We are looking for motivated and experienced Social Care Workers who believes in developing people’s strengths. The successful candidates will provide residents with guidance, support, training, and activities to help them to achieve their goals. We are looking for candidates who work well in a team environment, working closely with your colleagues and the wider support team.
The primary purpose of this position is to work as part of a team to support our residents to live fulfilled and wholesome lives, enabling them to learn new skills and live happily and as independently as possible in their home.
Essential Requirements

Pay: €33,306.00-€37,128.00 per year

Essential Requirements
- Holding or pursuing a Level 7 qualification in Social Care / Applied Social Studies OR
- Holding a Nursing Degree (be registered in the relevant Division of the Live Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Demonstrate knowledge of the legislation, regulations, and standards applicable to the provision of accommodation-based services to vulnerable people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Full driving licence
