At Stepping Stones Care, we are dedicated to fostering positive behavioural change and enhancing the quality of life for individuals with additional needs. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Needs Therapist to join our dynamic team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our service users.
We are currently recruiting a Special Needs Therapist for our residential care centres located in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive functional assessments of behaviour.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualised behavioural interventions.
Create and manage Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
Provide evidence-based training and support to staff teams for intervention implementation.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (HSE, CDNT, Tusla, Social Care, etc.) for a cohesive care approach.
Use data-driven decision-making to review and adjust interventions as necessary.
Pursue ongoing professional development in the latest practices and trends in the field.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis (essential).
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Education, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and person-centred planning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Accreditation with the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB), Irish Society of Behaviour Analysis (ISBA), or full membership of Division of Behaviour Analysis with the Psychological Society of Ireland.
Requirement: Valid, clean driver’s licence and use of a car
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification (desired but not essential).
Knowledge of Irish legislation and HIQA regulations for positive behaviour support.
Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, and complex needs.
Familiarity with National Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities.
Understanding of Children’s First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children (2011).
What we can offer you:
Salary 42,500 annually
