Driving required and willingness to drive during the night, supporting internal and external people across different locations. Willingness to work in all houses across the service including Community Services and to assist with hospital transfers.


Eligibility criteria

• Applications are invited from candidates who are currently registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland in the RNID Division
• Applications from other nurses registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland who have a minimum of 1 years' experience in the area of Intellectual Disability will also be considered
• Have the clinical and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
• Candidates will possess a high level of communication skills and strong command of English language (both verbally and written).
• A flexible approach to hours to meet the needs of the service is essential, roster requirements include days, sleep over, nights and weekends
• Flexible, responsive to a person-centered approach and the individual needs and abilities of the person.
• Candidates should be proficient in I.T.
• Knowledge of the current HIQA Standards and Health Act Regulations 2013
• One years' experience supporting people with an intellectual disability is desirable.
• Full driver's license and willingness to drive.
• Ability to lead a team.

• Experience of working as part of a team and commitment to building on their role in a community and social based model.
• Have the ability to enable and support people to achieve their goals through quality person centred services.
• Good organisational skills.
• Strong interest and ability in providing social supports to maximise each person's quality of life and enable them to have a meaningful day every day.

Salary will be reflective of qualifications and level of experience as part of the HSE consolidated salary scales.
