As a structural engineering expert, you will design and evaluate photovoltaic (PV) support systems across a variety of settings. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to create technical documents, enhance design standards, and integrate the latest technologies to drive efficiency and reduce costs. This role offers a chance to work on a wide range of PV systems, from ground-mounted trackers to rooftop installations, ensuring optimal design and performance at every stage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the project and construction teams with your structural engineering expertise.
• Participate in project meetings and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation such as design and erection specifications, calculation notes, and technical reports.
• Standardize and optimize structural designs and foundation systems for PV projects.
• Work with vendors and manufacturers to specify PV structures and oversee installation.
• Evaluate structural calculations for PV systems, ensuring technical compliance and effectiveness.
• Conduct technical due diligence and risk assessments.
• Assess and review new technologies, products, and concepts introduced by suppliers.
• Oversee soil and site surveys, ensuring cost-effective and optimized foundation design.

Your Profile:

• A Master’s degree in metal structures or an equivalent qualification, with over 8 years of experience in structural engineering, including at least 5 years in the renewable energy sector.
• Expertise in static and dynamic load calculations, with strong experience in geotechnical, hydrological, and topographical assessments.
• Solid knowledge of Eurocodes and international standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
• Fluency in French is mandatory due to the international nature of the role and frequent collaboration with French-speaking teams.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and French, with strong technical writing abilities.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of making swift decisions in a dynamic sector.
