Opportunity
Glenisk invites applications for the role of Sustainability Officer, an exciting opportunity for an innovative, passionate, and dynamic individual who will play a key role in driving Glenisk’s sustainability initiatives and strategies.
The Sustainability Officer will be based at Glenisk’s Head Office in Killeigh, Tullamore.

Responsibilities
Monitoring, developing and implementing Glenisk's sustainability strategies.
Conducting environmental impact assessments and identifying areas for improvement within current processes.
Leading and managing our De-Carbonisation project and other sustainability projects.
Researching and recommending sustainable practices, technologies, and materials.
Overseeing sustainability-related data collection, analysis, and reporting to track progress.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability considerations into product development, packaging, and supply chain.
Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, regulatory bodies, and community partners, to ensure alignment with Glenisk’s environmental and social objectives.
Staying updated on industry trends, innovations, and regulatory requirements.
Contributing to Glenisk’s Quality Management System and supporting quality and regulatory compliance efforts as needed.
Required Skills
Glenisk is seeking applications from individuals with:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (biology, chemistry, environmental science, or related field preferred).
- Demonstrable passion for sustainability and knowledge of sustainable practices, particularly within the food or dairy industry.
- Strong analytical and data management skills, with experience in tracking and reporting environmental metrics.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively manage projects.
- Strong communication skills.
- Innovative mindset with problem-solving skills.
