Permanent Full time Person In Charge/Team Leader (Social Care Manager 1 Grade)

1. Tenure of Employment
2. This post is permanent full time post working 78 hours per fortnight. Compulsory retirement age is 70 years.
3. Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate must:
- Be registered in the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board maintained by CORU
- Hold a CORU approved Social Care Worker qualification and have applied for CORU registration (evidence of application is necessary)
- Hold a relevant management qualification
- Have at least 5 years post qualification/registration experience gained with an up-to-date knowledge of current thinking and practice in services for people with intellectual disability.
- Have adequate training and experience pertinent to people with challenging behavior and severe to profound Intellectual Disabilities
- Have 3 year experience at management level in a management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care.
- Working knowledge and understanding of requirements of HIQA standards and a proven ability to implement standards and regulations.
- Be computer literate.
- Possess a full clean driving licence.
- Recognise the equal rights of persons with intellectual disabilities in society and uphold and respect those rights.
