Role Summary:
Responsible for the safe, efficient running of the Kiefel Thermoforming machines, working as part of a team to manufacture product to the highest Quality specifications, continually developing knowledge as an expert of Nelipak equipment, tools and machines.
Key Technician Responsibilities:
· Monitor and reduce downtime in conjunction with engineers and team leaders,
· Respond efficiently to downtime escalated by technical operators and perform troubleshooting,
· Liaise with tooling and maintenance to ensure efficient operation of machines’ including during downtime,
· Deliver H&S toolbox talks to engineering team as required,
· Lead and take part in H&S sustaining and improvement projects,
· Identify and develop improvements to increase key performance indicators (KPI’s) relevant to engineering such as H&S, delivery, quality, cost reductions, etc.,
· Conduct machine cleaning and maintenance relevant to training, skills, experience and competencies,
· Conduct New Product Introduction or other trials as instructed by the engineering department,
· Lead and take part in engineering projects.
· Technical Operator ad hoc duties.

The successful candidate will possess the following key attributes:
· Strong Systems knowledge
· Working knowledge of GMP, ISO Quality standards and production processes
· Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capability
· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Open to further development
Experience: 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role ideally within a manufacturing environment
Education: QQI Level 7/6 qualification in relevant field or currently working towards

4 day working week |
