Van Driver & Warehouse Operative

Van Driver & Warehouse Operative
Are you a skilled warehouse operative with a valid counterbalance and reach forklift license? Do you also hold a full driving license and feel comfortable driving a van? This hybrid role is ideal for a versatile professional who enjoys both warehouse work and driving, ensuring smooth daily operations and timely deliveries. In this role, you’ll balance responsibilities between working in the warehouse and making deliveries. You’ll work with a dedicated team that values reliability, accuracy, and a proactive approach to daily tasks. Responsibilities:
- Operate counterbalance and reach forklifts to load, unload, and organise stock in the warehouse.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Drive a company van for deliveries as needed, ensuring secure and timely transport of goods.
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Conduct inventory checks and contribute to efficient stock control practices.
- Communicate effectively with the warehouse and dispatch teams to ensure accurate and timely fulfilment of orders.
- Perform daily checks on forklifts and vehicles, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks and support team objectives as required.
- Valid counterbalance and reach forklift license with experience in warehouse operations.
- Full EU driving license, with confidence in van driving and previous experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with general warehouse duties, particularly those involving a blend of operations and driving.
- Physical capability to manage the demands of warehouse work, including lifting and equipment operation.
- Excellent attention to detail in inventory handling and order preparation.
- Strong organisational skills, allowing for efficient management of tasks and adherence to deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, enabling smooth coordination within a team and with other departments.
