Warehouse Operative
Location: Kells Business Park, Kells, Co. Meath
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (following successful completion of probationary period)
Job Overview:
Due to the continued growth Virginia International Logistics Properties is looking to fill two roles of warehouse worker. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor, the Warehouse operative will be responsible for the undertaking of receiving & dispatching tasks to assure that the highest possible service is provided to our customers.
Duties:

• Various stock, good in/goods out related activities.
• Effective liaison with colleagues to enable completion of tasks and the distribution of relevant information.
• Participate in performing cycle counts of all stock to ensure accuracy
• Sorting materials for combo/shrink pack orders running them through a shrink-wrap machine
• Identifying and reporting any discrepancies or issues such as quality, missing items, damage to goods etc. and reporting to the Inventory & Quality Controller to ensure accuracy
• Storing away all cleared pallets received on a daily basis
• Preparing and loading customer pallets for outward deliver
• Ensuring pallets are completed and secure for transport.
• Customer Pick and Pack/order fulfilment.
• Manual offload of containers, palletizing goods.

Essential Requirements:

• Adhered to all Health & Safety policies, recommendations and availing of equipment where applicable.
• Well organised and able to prioritise work to meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Be conscientious and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

· High level of accuracy and be willing to take responsibility.
· Ability to work well under pressure.

• Ability to read and comprehend pick list, purchase orders, receiving slips, route slips and instructions

Desirable Requirements:
· Knowledge of logistics and warehouse industry.
· Knowledge of warehouse management systems (however, training will be provided)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €12.70-€13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
Additional pay:

• Overtime pay

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
