The successful candidate will provide all aspects of EHS support across a variety of workplace settings including but not limited to office spaces and research laboratories. The role requires a self-starter who can work independently, anticipate the needs of the team, and take initiative to seek out problems. The successful candidate should be inventive and skilled at multi-tasking. We are looking for an ambitious and highly organized individual who enjoys solving problems in creative ways and shines in a fast-paced environment.
Description
Each day will be different. This position is responsible for providing EHS support, which includes: • Performing EHS inspections and assessments in a variety of workplace settings Coordinating chemical inventories, emergency evacuation drills, new equipment and chemical reviews • Providing guidance and training to employees • Conducting incident investigations and developing corrective action plans • Making recommendations for improvements to EHS procedures and programs • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement EHS initiatives and improvements • Organizing and facilitating project and EHS committee meetings • Writing and reviewing risk assessments and procedures • Contributing to the regional EHS team in EMEA in regular meetings and activities
- Degree in a relevant Environment, Health and Safety subject
- Fluency in Hebrew and English
- Safety officer or safety trustee qualification
- Experience in laboratory safety, environmental management and risk assessment in an R&E environment
- Proficient in writing reports and presentations Proficiency in national and local EHS legislation

- Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
- Stepping up to address difficult issues, saying what needs to be said
- Making sense of complex, high quantity information to solve problems
- Self-motivated and self managing
- Experience in working with global teams, good understanding of cultural differences
- Finance experience, budget management and purchasing processes
