Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health, environmental science, or a related field or relevant experience
 5+ year’s experience providing EHS support in laboratory/R&D, complex manufacturing, and/or production environment.
 5+ year’s experience working with regulatory authorities on site inspections and permitting/ongoing permit compliance.
 5+ year’s experience developing and implementing electrical safety, lockout/tagout, laser safety and radiation safety programs.
 5+ year’s experience developing and implementing environmental compliance programs including: hazardous waste, universal waste, air permitting and water discharge permits.

Based in Haifa Israel the EHS Program Manager role will support and continue to develop lab EHS programs for the EMEA region. The Labs R&D EHS Manager will develop, communicate, train, drive, manage, audit, improve, and measure EMEA labs EHS performance. This individual contributor role will include developing and enhancing EHS compliance and risk management processes. Developing scalable solutions, building partnerships with lab managers, facilities teams and regional EHS teams will be essential. Driving program understanding, influencing business unit leadership and integrating EHS into daily lab operations will be key success factors to continuously improving EHS performance for the EMEA labs portfolio.

Key job responsibilities
Implement cost-effective lab EHS risk management programs.
Investigate lab working conditions to prevent health hazards.
Develop engaging EHS training programs for all lab teams.
Advise senior leaders on EHS issues and resource allocation.
Conduct lab EHS audits and implement solutions.
Liaise with government agencies overseeing EMEA lab sites.
Collaborate across disciplines for effective EHS implementation.
Analyze EHS data to drive improvements.
Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and customer requirements.
Stay current on relevant EHS laws and regulations for lab settings.

Master's degree in an EHS related discipline
 EHS-related licenses, or certifications (i.e. Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or similar).
 2+ years of experience in managing EHS programs in a fast pace, high tech organization, at a regional/global level.
 A proven track record of driving the EHS agenda in a multi-stakeholder organization, and possess the ability to engage the workforce at all levels in the journey to build a strong EHS culture for Amazon’s labs in EMEA.
 Experience managing one or more of the following programs: Electrical safety, laser safety and/or related programs in an R&D setting.
 Operational or business management experience, with lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
 Have a collaborative, team-oriented approach to EHS management across the enterprise
