Summary:
Energean is seeking to employ an experienced professional to join our onshore technical team. This position will take on a hybrid role of project planning, with significant responsibilities, cost control, and contract management. This position plays a crucial role in overseeing the coordination between offshore operations and onshore planning activities, ensuring the seamless execution of key projects.

Summary:
Energean is seeking to employ an experienced professional to join our onshore technical team. This position will take on a hybrid role of project planning, with significant responsibilities, cost control, and contract management. This position plays a crucial role in overseeing the coordination between offshore operations and onshore planning activities, ensuring the seamless execution of key projects.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Project Planning & Scheduling (Onshore):
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with company production targets and offshore operations.
- Collaborate with the offshore FPSO team and various onshore departments to ensure seamless project coordination.
- Track project milestones and deliverables and implement strategies to mitigate delays or challenges.
2. Project Management (Onshore):
- Lead the planning and execution of complex projects within the technical office, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Monitor progress and oversee resource allocation, ensuring projects are completed within the defined budget and timeline.
- Regularly report on project performance, risks, and opportunities to management.
3. Cost Control & Financial Management:
- Establish and monitor project budgets, ensuring all financial aspects are managed in alignment with company goals.
- Work with the finance team to prepare cost estimates, forecasts, and variance reports.
- Maintain strict oversight of project expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
4. Contract Management & Procurement:
- Oversee the management of contracts related to projects, ensuring terms are adhered to and maximizing value for the company.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant project delivery.
- Resolve contractual issues efficiently and ensure all project-related procurement is aligned with budgetary constraints.
5. Collaboration with Offshore Operations:
- Maintain a strong working relationship with the offshore FPSO team to ensure that planning and operational activities are in sync.
- Support the technical and engineering teams in troubleshooting and resolving project challenges.
- Ensure that all onshore project activities are conducted in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 8 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, particularly in project planning, management, and cost control.
- Strong familiarity with FPSO operations, offshore projects, and energy production – would be an advantage.
- Proven track record in managing contracts, procurement, and vendor negotiations.
- Experience with financial oversight, budgeting, and cost control in large-scale projects.
- Prior experience collaborating with offshore teams and understanding their operational requirements.
Skills:
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to create and monitor budgets and financial reports.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to liaise effectively between onshore and offshore teams.
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the energy sector.
