System Qual Engineer - Computing Group

We are looking for passionate system qualification engineer-computing, someone who is eager to challenge our computing systems to join our unique engineering team of building the next-gen computing solutions.

Applied Materials PDC (Process Diagnostics and Control) division designs, develops, manufactures, and supports complex multidisciplinary machines for the semiconductors industry. These machines contain a large amount of Computing modules which includes servers, storages, network equipment etc.
The computing development group research, design and develop the computing modules in the R&D phase for NPI & SPI. Our team-leading engineers are unique as they gain and hold IT knowledge side by side with development & qualification capabilities.

What you'll be doing:
Stretching the limits of our computing solution. On your role, you will own the end-to-end qualification process from building your test plans, hands-on execution, perform multiple “what if?” scenarios, validating system meet the require spec and make our systems robust for high volume manufacturing.

What you'll be doing:

As part of your role, you will perform:
- Integration and validation for computing, storage, and networking Systems.
- Infrastructure performance testing for end-to-end computing systems.
- Testing field infra upgrade installers.
- Stress tests for computing modules.
- Documents and procedures approval.
- Test system edge case scenarios.
- Presentation review of your high-level qual plans and results.
What should you have?
- Academic studies in one of the electronics engineering subjects \ bachelor's degree in computer science - Mandatory.
- certification - MCSE/MCSA/Linux Admin – Mandatory.
- The will to take systems into their limits and expect the unexpected – Mandatory.
- Can do approach as way of leaving – Mandatory.
- Self-educated personality – Mandatory.
- Good presentation skills and transfer technical data in clear way – Mandatory.
- Work experience of 5 years or more in in the field of computing and system administrator and infrastructure - Mandatory
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary activities with various scope domain – High Advantage.
- Emotional Intelligence and creativity thinking – High Advantage.
- CCNA – Advantage.
- Ability to lead without authority - Advantage.
- Hands on experience in Windows / Linux based operating system – Advantage.
- Ability to manage interfaces and support customers.
It will be good if you have any experience with the below (if you don’t, we will train you):
- Testing utilities – Burning, Mem Test, i Perf
- Network troubleshooting utilities - Wireshark
- Power Shell and automation scripts
- Storage system (SAN/NAS)
- MS SQL Server, IIS, GPO, and Active Directory.
- Virtualization systems – VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox/KVM
