YOUR TEAM
At Rehab Technologies Lab (https://rehab.iit.it/), we are dedicated to revolutionizing the field of medical robotics to enhance the lives of patients with spinal cord injuries and orthopedic and neurological upper limb impairments.
As a Biomedical Engineer in the medical robotic field, you will play a crucial role in designing clinical trials, developing clinical test with amputees, and maintaining medical devices technical files according to the Quality System Processes and Documentation standards and regulation. You will be involved in every aspect of clinical trial design, from planning testing activities to actively implementing tests on limb difference people. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure our devices meet the highest safety, efficiency, and effectiveness standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design clinical trials for our prosthetic and orthotic devices.

• Management of medical devices technical files of our prosthetic and orthotic devices.

• Development of clinical test with patients (amputee or spinal cord injured).

• Interacting with the clinics, patients and colleagues from different areas of engineering for planning and clinically validating our medical devices.

• Collaboration with other engineering disciplines (electronics, biomedical, robotics, software) to ensure the successful integration of their designs according to the Quality System Processes.

• Management of Quality management system procedures

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE

• A M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering.
• 3+ years’ experience in writing Medical Device’s Technical Files.
• Good experience in Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and related medical standards.
• 3+ years’ experience in Clinical Protocol development and Ethical Committee submission.
• Good hands-on skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Good spoken and written English.
• 3+ years’ experience in the biomedical/robotics R&D environments.

• Specialization in Biomechanics and Biomaterials is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving attitude.
• High motivation to learn.
• Spirit of innovation and creativity.
• Good in time and priority management.
• Skills and experience, preferably acquired in R&D environments is a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of Medical Devices Regulation standards is a must.
• Proven Experience in maintaining Technical Files of complex medical devices.
• Proven experience in carrying experiments and clinical tests with patients is a must.
• Ability to work in a challenging and international environment.
• Previous experience in working in team with other Engineers and to organize testing operations.
