The Neuroscience and Society Research Unit (https://nes.iit.it/) is coordinated by Prof. Salvatore Maria Aglioti, who has extensive experience in several social neuroscience topics ranging from empathy for pain and existential neuroscience to social interactions and neuroscience of morality.

• Task 1: modeling virtual environments

• Task 2: developing and animating avatars for the virtual experience

• Task 3: game design and implementation

• Task 4: acquisition of behavioral and psychophysiological data

• Task 5: data analysis

• Task 6: manuscript preparation

• Task 7: scientific dissemination

• Task 8: communication and outreach

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE

• A Ph D in Psychology or Behavioral Neuroscience, including Social Neuroscience or similar

• Documented experience about the study of moral psychology, psychophysiological recordings, and immersive virtual reality applications

• A strong scientific production record, including publications, submitted articles, articles in preparation and conference submissions

• The ability to properly report, organize and publish research data

• Good command in spoken and written English

• Experience in moral neuroscience research on prosocial behaviour, research on the role of body awareness and psychophysiology in social interactions and using immersive virtual reality to investigate attitudes and behaviours in the context of organized crime

• Knowledge of Blender, i Clone Character Creator, i Unity 3D, R-Studio

• Good communication skills

• Strong problem-solving attitude

• High motivation to learn

• Spirit of innovation and creativity

• Good in time and priority management

• Ability to work in a challenging and international environment

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment

• Intersectoral experience with NGOs and event organizing skills for translational applications of research
