POSITION: RECEPTIONIST/BAR TENDER CREW MEMBER
REPORTS TO: Captain
PURPOSE: The purpose of the Crew Member is to provide service to our guests and give them the MOXY
experience that makes them come back again and again.
SUMMARY
Confident communicator, comfortable in a fast paced service focused role. Proactive problem solver and team player
able to play different roles, who follows procedures & contributes to a fun and relaxed environment that makes our
guests feel at home.
MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
– Provide guests with assistance and positive experiences
– Play multiple roles from front desk attendant, to barista, to greeter, to bartender, and everything in between
– Full flexibility in shift patterns 7 days a week. Early, late and night shifts included
– Manage hotel room inventory and Check in/out the Moxy way
– Make sure that every guest pays correct price for goods and hotel rooms
– Ensure all F&B outlets and merchandise are organized correctly
– Take responsibility in all Back of House cleaning duties
– Answer all phone calls according to the Moxy way and respond to emails in a timely fashion
– Make sure that Front of House always looks picture perfect
– Provide help in preparing food, cleaning, tidying, restocking, taking deliveries and organizing Back of House areas
– Operate Food & Beverage outlets the Moxy way
– Resolve guest issues you’re able to and escalate when you can’t
– Help guests and residents with every question they might have
– Work with your team to deliver the Moxy experience to every guest
– Support other crew members and follow direction from crew leaders
– Follow all food, licensing, security and health & safety policies to work safely
– Create fun activities & activations that engage with guests
– Perform First aid duties in case of an emergency if trained
– Adhere to all local licensing laws in respect of the service of alcohol
– Promote & support the Moxy brand & the Marriott Bonvoy program
– And any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties
KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
– Preferably 1 year experience of work within the service industry
– Personal experience of travel or travel industry
– Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws
– Good understanding of computer handling, Opera, MICROS is preferable but not essential
– Social media knowledge and experience
– Clear communicator, fluent in Local Language & English (& other languages a plus!)
PERSONALITY
– Has high energy and a fearless do it yourself attitude
– Good with people and enjoy chatting with guests
– Skilled multitasker who can balance hard work with great service
– Knows being relaxed isn't the same as being lazy
