ROLE & TEAM
We are currently looking for a Hotel Director in Florence who will be responsible for the overall operational management of the hotel, ensuring that all areas of the property operate efficiently and are focused on delivering the highest level of guest satisfaction.
Here below are some examples of your core activities:
  • Operational management: Oversee all daily operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, events, and maintenance.
  • Leadership: Manage and coordinate operational teams, develop and motivate staff, fostering a positive work environment focused on quality.
  • Financial management: Monitor and analyze the hotel budget, control operational costs, and maximize revenues. Prepare financial reports and ensure the profitability of the hotel.
  • Guest experience: Ensure guests receive exceptional service and handle any complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Marketing and sales: Develop marketing strategies to attract new customers, increase brand awareness, and improve occupancy rates. Work closely with the sales team to boost revenue.
  • Compliance and regulations: Ensure the hotel complies with all local and national regulations regarding safety, hygiene, and staff management.
  • Strategic development: Identify opportunities for improvement and growth, plan for future investments, and maintain the long-term success of the hotel.

What you’ll need to be successful in this role:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience managing hotel operations and leading diverse teams. Strong conflict resolution and people management skills.
  • Operational Expertise: In-depth knowledge of hotel functions (rooms, F&B, housekeeping), budgeting, and compliance with regulations.
  • Marketing & Sales: Skilled in revenue management, marketing strategies, and digital distribution channels to drive profitability.
  • Guest Service Focus: Committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences and resolving issues promptly.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze market trends, optimize operations, and plan for long-term growth.
  • Industry Knowledge: Extensive understanding of hospitality trends and best practices.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Business. Advanced degrees and certifications are a plus.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong communication, organizational skills, and adaptability.
