YOUR TEAM
The Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia is seeking talented and driven individuals to help shape innovative data protection and cybersecurity strategies and policies. We welcome both experienced professionals in cybersecurity and motivated candidates with a solid academic background who are eager to grow and develop their skills
You will join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team where experts from diverse fields collaborate to drive research and innovation forward.
As a key member of the cybersecurity team within our ICT division, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our cutting-edge research. Your responsibilities will include:

Serving as a SOC Analyst, leading incident response efforts to protect critical systems;

Driving cybersecurity awareness and training programs to empower the organization;
-
Assisting in the evaluation and enhancement of IT service security;
-
Playing an active role in vulnerability management, ensuring our infrastructure remains secure and aligned with strategic goals.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
-
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in Cyber/Information Security;
-
Experience in network security;
-
Knowledge and use of vulnerability assessment tools;
-
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and tuning abilities across client-server systems and a variety of operating systems, including Windows, Linux, mac OS
-
Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
-
Familiarity with international security standards (e.g., ISO, NIST) and regulations, particularly GDPR and NIS;
-
Previous experience in research environments, Research Centers, or SOC/CERT environments;
-
Experience with SIEM solutions and vulnerability management tools;
-
Programming and scripting skills;
-
Certifications relevant to cybersecurity skills (e.g., CEH, Comp TIA Security+).
