Leveraged Financing Solutions Italy (Lev Fin) originates and executes debt transactions supporting leverage buy outs financings (LBOs) of private equity funds investing in Europe as well as Italian corporates acquisition needs. Lev Fin is also responsible for all clients lending-related needs coordinating with the advisory and coverage teams. Lev Fin is a leading European financing house, with a focus on its core markets represented by Italy, Germany, Austria and Eastern Europe. Uni Credit has consistently been the leading bank in both Italian LBO market (#1 in 2023-2013 cumulated league tables) and syndicate loans (#1 in 2023 since 2015), having played a tier one role in the most visible deals closed in the recent years.

An Associate has broad exposure towards senior bankers and clients, while working on various transactions such as LBOs, acquisition financings, refinancings, dividend recaps both on private and public markets.

What you'll be doing

Pro-active origination and active dialogue with top tier sponsor clients across Europe to pitch new LBOs
Review financial and business analysis of LBO targets
Critical analysis and assessment of appropriate debt structures and, together with seniors, review of T&Cs for LBO transactions
Coordination with internal counterparties, incl. Syndicate, Rating Advisory, Coverage, and M&A
Active involvement in the internal approval process, including memos / credit papers drating and discussion in credit and business committees
Preparation of marketing materials for syndication and placement of leveraged loans and high yield bond

What you'll need to succeed

At least 3 years of investment banking / leveraged finance / private credit experience
Ability to logically analyse large amounts of information; capability to prioritise and to multi-task
Autonomous, proactive, pragmatic and problem solver attitude, well organized and self-reliant
Strong co-operation mindset used to deal with international teams, pro-active attitude
Flexible to adapt to rapidly changing and challenging working environment
Strong attention to detail
Proficient in written and spoken English
Strong interpersonal skills
