YOUR TEAM
You will be joining a multidisciplinary team where individuals from various professional backgrounds collaborate, each contributing their specialized expertise to deliver the service. The Genomics Facility (GEFA) at IIT is under the coordination of Diego Vozzi, who possesses extensive experience in the field of genomic sciences.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Support Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Executing various second- and third-generation RNA/DNA sequencing applications, beginning with the management of DNA/RNA samples and preparation of genomic libraries (both manually and using automated systems).
• Quality control processes for DNA/RNA samples and genomic libraries.
• Fundamental molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, q PCR), as well as nucleic acid extraction and molecular analysis methods (e.g., Nanodrop, Qubit, DNA/RNA Bioanalyzer).
• Providing troubleshooting support throughout the entire sequencing workflow.
• Supporting researchers with the preparation and submission of samples.
• Managing laboratory equipment and infrastructure, ensuring all operations comply with local regulations.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
1. A Master’s Degree in Life Sciences (molecular biology, biotechnology, or a related field).
2. A minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on professional experience in a molecular laboratory, preferably with a focus on DNA/RNA sequencing technologies.
3. A strong problem-solving aptitude and organizational skills are highly desirable.
4. Expertise in single-cell RNA sequencing will be considered an asset.
5. Proficiency in the English language.
