Our customers are major brands all over the world.
For our office in Milan, we are looking for a SYSTEM ENGINEER to join a development team in an international context, who has at least 5 years of experience in the role and who will be able to work in complete autonomy.
The main responsibilities of the position will be
– Manage a remote support center infrastructure.
– Train and assist project managers/programmers in installing NOW’s proprietary product, setting up the database (Oracle and DB2) and application server (jboss) either at the client site or remotely.
– Resolve application middleware and operating system issues
– Help tune the various software components to optimize performance
– Support cloud deployments
– Manage cybersecurity issues and help establish standard procedures and certifications
Experience is required with
– Relational databases (DB2 and possibly Oracle) in an OLTP environment
– Jboss Application Server
– VMware, Proxmox virtualization technologies and backup systems (Veeam Backup)
– Installation and implementation of Windows and Linux operating systems, including cluster and storage environments
– Advanced network management and security issues (Check Point, Sonicwall and Linux firewalls), DNS and intrusion detection solutions
– Centralized backup solutions (Tivoli Storage Manager, Arcserve)
– Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Zabbix)
English language skills required.
The profile is completed by a strong interest in technology, excellent organizational, diagnostic, problem-solving (triage), communication and interpersonal skills, work organization, proactivity and aptitude for teamwork.
Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad is required.
