"Do you want to help our clients buy and sell equities, foreign currencies, interest rates and credit, derivatives or join our trading team? Do you want to become an integral part of our quantitative business?

• help our clients buy and sell on the phone and using our online systems
• (on a client team) be promoting products and trading opportunities to clients based on an in-depth understanding of their needs and investment styles
• (as a sales trader) be the link between clients and traders, giving clients useful information about what’s happening in the markets and executing their trades at the best prices
• (as a trader) use our online systems to buy and sell equities, foreign currencies,

interest rates and credit, seek the best prices to execute our clients’ sales orders

• (as a quantitative analyst) construct models of financial markets, used to identify investment opportunities and assess execution costs and financial risks carried by UBS and our client as well as to build tools and analytics that automate and streamline daily business processes on the trading desk.
• (as a quantitative analyst) perform ad-hoc quantitative analysis of market scenarios requested by Sales and Trading"

You'll be working in the Global Markets team, looking after professional investors like asset managers and fund managers. You'll do everything that's needed to buy and sell securities for them. You'll be able to draw on the strength of our platforms, products, services and people worldwide to give your clients whatever they need.

"You need to be graduating from an university in Japan between June 2025 and July 2026. It doesn’t matter what you’re studying. (Really, it doesn’t.) But we’d like to see evidence that you can:

• analyze a problem, take a view and come to a decision
• plan, organize and communicate well in Japanese
• make things happen
• stick with a task
• work in a team
• come up with ideas

Other factors that we would consider :

• interest in financial markets
• a degree in mathematics / physics / computer science / engineering / law or any other degrees really, we will decide on the most suitable role for you based on your experiences, skillsets, and background
• a formal background in finance or practical experience in computer programming or doing research in their academic field would be a plus
