Youth Basketball Coach [part time, seasonal]
Definition:
Under the direction of the Director of Basketball and Director of Community Services, the Youth Basketball Coach is responsible for providing an enjoyable and safe sporting experience for an assigned age group while they learn both individual and team game skills, sportsmanship and fair play.

Examples of work:
Teach fundamentals, playing rules, strategies and playing tactics
Condition athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength and agility
Preside over team activities including all scheduled team practices and games
Work to establish and improve team unity and spirit
Teach sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic and responsibility to one’s team
Monitor players' personal conduct during games
Manage equipment
Perform related duties as required.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to work well with youth of various ages
Knowledge of basketball
Minimum 18 years of age
Exude enthusiasm and a positive spirit
Exhibit patience, maturity and dependability
Willingness to learn and follow league rules and guidelines regarding youth basketball
Prior coaching experience is helpful but not required
Travel is required for away games; transportation not provided.
Additional Information:
Background checks are conducted for all coaches.
This is a stipend position.
Approximate hours 10-12 per week (hours may vary depending on practice/ game schedules)
Anticipate a 4-5 month season.
Must be vaccinated for COVID- 19 as per Township policy.

Pay: $1,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 10 – 12 per week

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
