We are currently seeking Interior Purchasing Agents to join our team in our fast growing, fast paced Interiors Division.
The Interiors Purchasing Agent is fully responsible to complete the process of awarding trade packages for any project they are assigned. You will work as a part of a team which may include the Project Executive, Project Manager(s), Owner’s, Owner Reps, Field Engineers, and the individual subcontractors to complete the final award process for each trade in a timely manner in accordance with the project schedule.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Essential Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare Project Bidders List for all trades
- Review Project Drawings upon receipt and issue RFI’s (request for information) accordingly
- Attend meetings with Owner, Architect Engineers, etc. as required
- Review and understand Project Estimate how it relates to each trade
- Review and understand Project Schedule as it relates to each trade
- Develop and maintain Purchasing Schedule
- Issue Bid Packages to Bidders based upon approved bidders list
- Make sure Subcontractors have submitted pre-qual docs and are approved in Textura
- Develop and issue Scope Sheets for each trade
- Receive proposals and completed scope sheets from subcontractors
- Update scope sheets based upon subcontractors’ response
- Schedule and lead scope review meetings with each Subcontractor for each trade
- Issue CCIP Forms to Subcontractors and review response. Issue completed CCIP forms to Triton’s insurance company to review and agree to a proper CCIP Credit with subcontractor
- Schedule and lead Best & Final and/or closing meetings with subcontractors, Triton Project Executive and Owner.
- Award trade work to Subcontractors
- Advise the Contracts Dept of trade awards so a contract can be issued in a timely manner
- Participate in preparing GMP Submittal to Ownership for inclusion in the Construction Management Agreement
- 4-year degree in an accredited industry related curriculum, or experience equivalent to a 4-year degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Interiors Purchasing Agent
- Demonstrated ability to perform in the areas of estimating, scheduling, budgeting/cost control, field supervision, financial reporting and client relationships, and safety/insurance
- Knowledge of basic computer applications and software such as MS Office and construction scheduling programs as used by the company
- Ability to safely navigate conditions present at a construction site, including climbing ladders, cluttered areas, working in bad weather, hazardous areas, dark conditions, and maneuvering uneven surfaces etc. for the purpose of inspecting progress
- Conveys thoughts and information, both verbal and written, in a clear and concise manner.
- Has basic understanding of the multiple platforms for communication and demonstrates a range of interpersonal skills and approaches, is aware of when to use what with whom. Relates well to all individuals, internally and externally.
- Applies strong logic to identify the best approach and methodology. Diagnoses core issues and identifies a range of potential solutions, selecting the most appropriate course of action given the scenario. Applies technical expertise to build credibility and shares best practice and key project learnings to ensure continual improvement.
- Develops strong relationships in team through friendly, professional, and supportive approach. Operates in a collaborative manner, involving others in idea generation and decision making.
- Understands and is responsive to customer needs and what drives success for the customer. Keeps customers informed of progress on projects and responds promptly to resolve customer concerns.
