Patient Access Services Representative

We are looking for a candidate to strengthen and grow their reception career with our Physical Therapy department by joining our Patient Access Services Team!
Full Time Opportunity!
The following schedule is REQUIRED for the position
  • Monday - Thursday (10am-6:30pm), Friday (9am-5:30pm)
  • In person position - Lynbrook location
*Trainees welcome!!
**Medical office experience preferred, PT medical office experience is a strong plus!
Responsibilities:
  • Heavy phone work
  • Efficiently answer patient inquiries by providing general information, scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling their appointments, etc. via phone
  • Document all accounts, update patient demographics, and create medical records
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Must maintain a high level of professionalism and quality customer service
  • Coordinate with the team working through a checklist calling patients to schedule appointments across all Long Island rehab locations.
Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma /GED Required; College Degree Preferred
  • Previous experience in customer service and/or a call center is required.
  • Healthcare background is a strong plus
  • Interest or background in Physical Therapy/Rehabilitation is a plus
  • Bilingual Spanish (Preferred not required)
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and management time effectively
  • Must be reliable and dependable
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and growing environment
  • Must have a positive, welcoming, and a professional demeanor
  • Ability to work within a team and independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must
Dress Code:
  • Navy blue scrubs REQUIRED (business casual attire permitted during training period - approx. 3 weeks)
** three weeks of paid in-person call center training, will be provided before starting on our phones.**
