*Job Overview*
United Staff Group is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who have diverse learning needs and will be passionate about providing individualized support to help each student thrive.
*Responsibilities*
- Educate students with special needs, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning styles
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to create a supportive learning environment
- Utilize behavioral therapy techniques to address challenging behaviors
- Provide instruction in various subjects tailored to students' abilities and interests
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
*Qualifications*
- Previous experience working with children with special needs is preferred
- Knowledge of deaf education, child welfare, and behavioral health is a plus
- Familiarity with Montessori or other alternative educational approaches is advantageous
- NJ Certification in Special Education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Pay: $36.48 - $38.48 per hour
