Business Need / Purpose of Role

The Logistics & Operations Assistant reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager based out of Kuwait, shall primarily be responsible to supporting the Marine & Offshore operations in Kuwait. The incumbent will also be responsible for crew handling, crew transportation & transportation of goods using our delivery trucks. The role shall involve assistance of Marine operations in submitting manifest to KPA / customs. Also assisting the port operations team whenever required.

Objectives & Measurement – Key Responsibilities

• Administration and Clerical Support: Providing a full range of administrative & clerical support to the crew handling ship chandelling Offshore & Marine Operations to ensure smooth functioning of the business through consistent fare and equitable administrative practices and in congruence with the OMS standards of the ISS.

• Crew Logistics support: Assist in crew changes by picking & dropping crew from / to vessel to designated locations. Also liaise with immigration authorities in completing the necessary formalities.

• Procurement & Delivery: Assist the team in picking up of items from vendors & deliver to the vessel. Also assisting in purchase of vessel supplies.

• Documentation: Prepare all the application forms and documents related to immigration for crew visas, and vehicle passes.

• Proper vehicle Maintenance & Use: Operates and maintains assigned vehicle in a safe manner in order to save life's, time and money, in spite of the conditions around the job holder and the actions of others. Inspects exterior & interior of the vehicle to ensure the road worthiness of the vehicle before moving the vehicle.

• Safety Quality & environment in Compliance with ISS Driving policy: Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality& environmental procedures in accordance with ISS OMS & ISS driving policies & procedures to deliver highest quality services to the customers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Being able to communicate verbally/writing in a clear and concise manner.
• Balance multiple tasks, changing priorities & operate within a deadline-oriented environment.
  
• Excellent customer management skill.
• Self-driven, organized, good communication skills.
• Strong presentation with excellent analytical thinking skills.
• Communication and building rapport with all kinds of people.
  
• Have a global perspective and be progressive thinking.

Education, Qualifications, Certifications, and Licenses

• High school with good analytical as well as written & communication skills.
  
• 3 years’ experience in similar role.
• Knowledge of shipping and port operations is desirable.
• Kuwait driving license would be required.
