About the Team

Join a challenging, dynamic and diverse team within the established Swiss Re Group. We are a scale-up, established to deliver innovative protection solutions sold direct to consumers through Distribution Partners. Our team takes care of all compliance matters relating to ipti Q (the retail business of Swiss Re group). This includes maintaining effective systems for the identification, management and control of compliance risks, evaluating proposed business transactions and implementing effective governance processes for our legal entities.


About the Role

In this role you act as the Key Function Holder and AML expert within ipti Q EMEA Compliance team, You will act as regulatory appointed Compliance Officer in Luxembourg, including reporting to local Board and relevant Committees, and local point of contact for regulators in coordination with Regulatory Risk Management.
As a Compliance Officer, you will have an outstanding opportunity to be a trusted, strategic partner to the business stakeholders by providing timely, practical, and high-quality compliance advice across the entire insurance value chain. Reporting directly to the Head of Compliance ipti Q, the role will include responsibilities across all our markets:

  • Compliance Key Function Holder (as laid down in CAA circular 21/12) and Anti-Money-Laundering Officer for two retail insurance companies established in Luxembourg (ipti Q Life S.A. Luxembourg and ipti Q EMEA P&C S.A Luxembourg).
  • maintain AML policies and process documents outlining how ipti Q and its branches implement Swiss Re Global Policies and Standards and local jurisdictional requirements.
  • participate in international Compliance framework projects improving business analysis, development and management of Compliance specific tools & processes
  • identification and monitoring of Compliance Risks, in particular financial crime, data protection and conduct risks in order to undertake ongoing risk assessments
  • improve Compliance framework and elevate existing regional frameworks to an ipti Q Global level and propose improvements to control standards, mitigation strategies, policies and processes,
  • support our regional Compliance teams in developing and the run of compliant products and propositions in close interaction with business functions
  • support in providing relevant reporting to regulatory/competent authorities and management as appropriate
  • provide advice and assistance on compliance related topics
  • develop and ensure appropriate implementation of a robust Compliance Programme, taking business model specific requirements into account, including maintenance of Compliance Risk frameworks in coordination with Group Compliance and carrying out compliance training activities
  • monitor regulatory developments at national and EU level and assessment of published regulatory changes.
  • support development and execution of the Annual Compliance Plan
  • support the identification and promotion of innovation in Compliance solutions in the retail industry

About You
We are looking for an experienced professional to be based in Luxembourg with the ability to prioritize and work in a highly dynamic and changing matrix environment. You should also be able to lead change in an international business environment and communicate in a multi-jurisdictional set-up.

Skills and Experience:
  • (pre-requisite) Compliance professional with at least 5+ years' experience in the primary Life or Non-Life insurance market
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Risk, Compliance, or relevant disciplines.
  • Relevant professional qualification on AML/CFT e.g. ACAMS or data protection e.g. CIPP is preferred
  • Good knowledge of EMEA and local regulatory requirements related to AML/ITC, Data Protection, Conduct Risk (e.g., FCA Consumer Duty), Fraud Risk and Complaints Handling in respect of retail products
  • Proficient in English, any other language is considered a plus (Dutch, German, Spanish, French, Italian)
  • Ability of working both independently and as part of a team in an international setting with various stakeholders.

For Luxembourg, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 86,000 and EUR 144,000 (for a full-time role).
The specific salary offered considers:
  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
  • the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including
an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
