Functional & Technical Expert Hexagon SDx

Our industrial installations are highly technological and require the best industrial digital , automation and IT solutions fit for our business to sustain and improve our overall performances and lead this green journey. We at Flat Europe digital office team are a central team with close cooperation to our digital organizations in and across in our production facilities to steer the Industrial Digital journey.
We are seeking an experienced ALIM/DMS functional & technical expert skilled in the Hexagon SDx technology to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in administering, configuring, and optimizing the Hexagon SDx platform to support our organization’s needs where we both aim to extend the usage of the ALIM platform to other projects next to DECARB and to deploy for ou Operations & Maintenance business.
Together with the business product owner(s), the IT product owner and colleague experts & support people, you are the team that governs the reliable and robust state of the platform and ensures the further roll-out and enhancements.

About the department
The Digital & IT Quality, Manufacturing and Maintenance perimeter (part of IT Flat Europe) is responsible for the IT Strategy of the Quality, Manufacturing and Maintenance functions, including efficiency (process and system exploitation and optimization). Digital & IT Quality, Manufacturing and Maintenance perimeter covers the following domains:
Arcelor Mittal Flat Europe has chosen to deploy the cloud- and web-based, data-centric Asset Lifecycle Information Management (ALIM) solution SDx of Hexagon, aiming to create a reliable digital twin that intelligently allows to feed data needed for operations & maintenance from the project’s deliverables. This platform is currently used as the document management system for our project engineering teams working on Green Primary sustainability program. It allows them the tooling to easily exchange, review and store of all kinds of project (engineering) documents and (3D) drawings between our local and central engineering teams and OEM/EPCM partners. In the next stage we have to extend the use of this platform to maintenance and operations teams.
The platform was recently put in operations; further extensions and enhancements are getting build by the project team (Arcelor Mittal + Hexagon), IT service management processes (change & release mgmt etc) are applied to ensure the operational governance and stability of this platform.

Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain the Hexagon SDx platform to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Analyze functional business requirements with the business and IT products owners governing the maintainability of the platform
- Configure and implement these new requirements in the platform ensuring zero impact deployment
- Install and enhance functional & regression test plans, build test automation where appropriate
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate Hexagon SDx with existing systems and applications (eg. SAP Maintenance, data lake integration for BI needs)
- Troubleshoot issues as they arise, be in first line contact with the Saa S operational teams
- Support our user community that is spread over all our manufacturing sites
- Keep abreast of emerging trends and best practices in Hexagon SDx administration
Profile
- You have a Technical oriented master’s degree in digital, Computer Science, Automation Technology, or a related field or showing high experience on technical orientation.
- Having proven administration experience with tools for document & collaboration management, in particular Hexagon SDx, is required. Certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Power Shell
- Familiarity with Dev Ops practices and tools, including testing practices and frameworks.
- You are very result driven and have dedicated energy and determination to move projects forward.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
- English is mandatory. Mastery of additional European languages is a plus.
- Motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Innovative mindset, curious, and willing to understand, challenge and support our business.
- Results-oriented with a passion for innovation & continuous improvement.

- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) domain
- The central DECARB program team
- Our local teams at the manufacturing plants that will commission the DRI/EAF installations.
