• Experience in program or project management

This position is preferred to be based in a European hub location (Paris, Munich, Amsterdam, Luxembourg, Madrid, Athens, Zurich).

In this role, you will develop and drive an internal content strategy supporting the EMEA Public Sector Leader, working across business functions, regions, and all levels of the organization to make sure our customers are a top-of-mind audience. You must have a proven history of operationalizing workflows, developing success measurements, and building mechanisms that help enable communication at scale—all while thinking big and creatively. You excel at working collaboratively with executives and colleagues to deliver crisp, consistent messaging. You actively listen and employ data to craft what-and how-we communicate, shape, and amplify to inform the organization and our business partners. You are a strategic, skillful writer, strong communicator, and creative thinker. Attention to detail, ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment, and excellent organization are critical. The right candidate excels at absorbing complex information and translating it into concise, compelling content to impact organizational goals.

This role as Internal Content leader will travel up to 20% of their work schedule.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop and execute a communications strategy that drives predictable information flow, organizational alignment, and employee engagement across the organization.
• Develop and drive communications that engage and inspire around the organizational goals, process launches, and other critical changes.
• Develop and implement communications vehicles (newsletters, all hands meetings, video messages, etc.) in alignment with the communications strategy.
• Create a mechanism to align the community of communications managers within AWS to share information, ideas, and best practices to drive message consistency and adoption with Communications and Marketing Organizations.
• Executive communications for the organization’s leader, including drafting talking points, scripts, presentations, and internal communications.
• Develop and manage style guidelines and communications governance standards across all internal channels
• Experiment with new, creative ways to reach team members with the news and information they need to know to be effective in their roles.
• Develop communication plans that think long-term, tying multiple communication mechanisms together into broader strategies.
• Research, write, edit, and publish communications with a focus for quality, accuracy, and engagement.
• Routinely measure and report out to stakeholders regarding the impact of communications.
• Create content that establishes a standardized brand and voice.
• Partner with content contributors to ensure content is timely, accurate, clear, actionable and fits writing style guidelines.
• Distill technical standard operating procedure information, complex business processes, and change impacts into crisp, user-friendly communications that drive awareness and adoption of programs and initiatives.
• Earn trust, provide sound counsel, and look around corners to spot emerging topics and develop proactive plans to communicate with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
