• Experience leading and growing teams of senior technology professionals, ideally in customer facing roles
• Experience with enterprise IT application work that includes software development or Dev Ops engineering
• Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.
• Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional or military experience

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced technical manager to help drive adoption of AWS services for the aerospace and satellite industry.

Key job responsibilities
You will help develop the industry’s best cloud-based solutions architects by enabling and coaching them on best practices, solution selling, presentation and speaking skills, as well as how to create and present architectures of widely varying size and complexity. In collaboration with sales, you will present complex technical solutions to aerospace and satellite customers and help drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers.

A day in the life
As a Solutions Architect Manager focused on aerospace and satellite industry customers and partners within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to accelerate broad use of Amazon's cloud computing services across the aerospace and satellite market. In this role, you will hire and develop some of the industry’s best cloud-based solutions architects, coach them on cloud adoption best practices, empower them to further develop their technical areas of depth as well as their communication, presentation and strategic advisory skills. You and your team will be responsible for: owning the technical engagement with aerospace and satellite customer/partners; support the development of technical blueprints, architectures, and quick start templates to help accelerate solution development; enable prototype and pilot projects development in concert with business development discussions; coordinate new feature requests with AWS service teams; and assist technically in projects owned by customers/partners.
