Marketing & Communication Advisor

The House of Startups (Ho ST) was set up in 2017 by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce with the ambition to become a driving force behind the startup and innovation ecosystem in Luxembourg. Its mission is to federate, promote and support the startup ecosystem but also to foster open innovation of businesses and other organizations.

The Ho ST is also an innovation campus of nearly 6,000 square meters. It welcomes a diverse community of stakeholders and is home to several innovative startup hubs, including the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHo FT), the Luxembourg-City Incubator (LCI), Le Village by CA. Luxembourg, and International Climate Finance Accelerator (ICFA Luxembourg). It today hosts some 170 startups in the heart of the city.


Responsibilities:

Become a key collaborator to the Ho ST’s team and contribute to its mission to federate and promote Luxembourg’s startup ecosystem. To do so, we are looking for an experienced communicator with a sense of creativity and diplomacy who knows how to hit the KPIs while being ready to adapt when opportunities arise.

In other words, you will:

• Position the Ho ST as the central innovation hub of Luxembourg's thriving startup ecosystem.

• Design, plan and execute events to reflect Ho ST’s values and objectives to enhance direct engagement with the audience.

• Contribute to developing the corporate communication strategy in alignment with the Ho ST overall strategy.

• Lead or support the communication and promotion of both internal and external projects aligned with Ho ST's mission.

• Ensure effective communication across Ho ST's channels and platforms, including social media and the website.

• Establish and cultivate relationships with existing and potential partners within Luxembourg's startup ecosystem.

Create and manage dynamic audiovisual content and ensure strategic content planning and coherence.

• Represent Ho ST at various ecosystem events and create opportunities to strengthen the national Startup & Innovation ecosystem.

Person specification and required skills:

• Hold a BTS, bachelor's, or master’s degree in Communication, Hospitality, Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship or similar.

• The ideal candidate should demonstrate professional experience in communication, marketing, hospitality or event management, preferably with a track record of at least 3 years.

• The candidate should be adaptable and comfortable in an ever-changing environment, displaying a keen interest in the growth and success of Luxembourg's startup ecosystem.

• Demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for planning and executing successful events that align with organizational objectives.

• Have a good understanding of the startup mindset and familiarity with Luxembourg and European startup ecosystems, as well as the missions of the Chamber of Commerce.

• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French.

• Be well-organized, capable of working independently, and comfortable collaborating within transversal project teams.

• Be a real team player with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Be proficient with MS Office, familiar with CRM systems, and adaptable to new technologies.

The following elements are considered as a strong add-on to your application:

• Possess expertise in Adobe Creative Suite or similar for content creation and editing.

• Utilize data-driven insights to develop and refine marketing strategies for enhanced campaign performance.

• Demonstrate a creative flair for branding and visual identity and content creation.
