Your role

The Department of Finance of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg is looking for a Postdoctoral researcher to conduct research in Finance/Economics.
The postdoctoral researcher will be working under the supervision of Professor Christos Koulovatianos, in particular, the Postdoctoral Researcher will be in charge of

• Conducting innovative research in Finance/Economics with desirable emphasis on Sustainability and/or Political Science
• Contributing to the department’s intellectual life through interacting with Ph D students and presenting in internal seminar series
• Publication of articles in scientific journals and contributions to conferences
• Assisting with teaching activities, one to three hours a week and contribute to tutoring students

Your profile

We are looking for a candidate with a Ph D in Finance/Economics/Business/Statistics/Computer Science, preferably with a specialization in Sustainability but not limited to that, as Asset Pricing, Financial Institutions, Risk Management are areas of research focus in our department. Applications from Ph D candidates who will have started their final year of doctoral studies before that date may be considered.
In particular, the following requirements apply

• Strong interest in Finance/Economics
• Proven ability to autonomously conduct research at a post-doctoral level
• Excellent IT skills
• Proven ability to work individually as well as part of a team
• Have the linguistic skills to evolve in a multilingual environment: fluency in either English or French, good understanding of the second language and possibly a third language, German in particular, will be considered an advantage
• Strong communication and writing skills
