As an institution-first, FCA-regulated digital asset custodian, Zodia Custody aims to provide financial institutions, corporations, and professional investors with the freedom to realize the full potential of the digital asset future on their own terms. Established in 2020, Zodia Custody combines the agility of a start-up with the heritage of a 167-year-old financial institution, Standard Chartered, in partnership with Northern Trust and SBI.
Scope of Role:
Sales Leadership
As the Sales Director, you will be pivotal in driving the growth strategy of Zodia Custody in Europe as a MICA-licensed entity. You will oversee the sales organization, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives by:
- Holder of authorised manager role with the CSSF, holding responsibility and oversight for Sales, Business Development, Operations, Marketing. Formally accountable with the CSSF for this pursuant to the MICA regulation.
- Developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies that maximize revenue and market presence.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture that encourages individual accountability and collective achievement.
- Member of the board of directors – responsible for overseeing the firm’s overall strategy, governance and effective operations in line with applicable laws and requirements.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, acting as the main liaison between the sales team and executive leadership.
- Identifying new market opportunities and client acquisition strategies to drive new business development.
- Utilizing data-driven insights to assess market dynamics, client needs, and competitive positioning.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with product, marketing, and compliance teams to ensure that client needs are being met and future demands are anticipated.
- Monitoring sales metrics, forecasting sales trends, and providing regular updates to the executive team.
- Representing Zodia at industry conferences and events to promote brand awareness and establish thought leadership.

- 10+ years of experience in leadership roles within financial services, with a focus on digital assets or related fields.
- Previous experience of having oversight and responsibility for Sales, Business Development, Operations, Marketing in a licensed/registered financial services firm.
- Pre-requisite of the role is successful interview, assessment and approval by the CSSF as authorised manager. Previous experience in an authorised manager role highly preferable.
- Experience holding a previous board position preferable.
- Based in Lux or greater region only
- Strong understanding of Luxembourg's financial services regulations, especially regarding crypto and digital assets.
- Proven track record of managing and growing client relationships, particularly with institutional clients.
- Excellent strategic thinking and business development skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English and French; additional languages would be a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a global team environment with a deep cultural understanding.
- Demonstrated passion for crypto and digital asset solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex issues creatively.
- Proactive and self-driven with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
