About the Role:

Ferrero Luxembourg Headquarters is seeking a Senior Consumer & Shopper Understanding Specialist to join the Biscuits & Bakery Consumer Research team with a permanent contract. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving consumer insights, data analysis and experimental projects at the point-of-sale to inform and optimize the development and marketing of Ferrero’s product offering.

Main Responsibilities:

CONSUMER & SHOPPER INSIGHTS:
Covering this role, you will autonomously lead a series of multinational consumer research projects, building on a wide range of research methodologies. You may also scout for new methodologies and approaches. You will gather, analyze, and interpret insights related to Ferrero’s and competitors’ products and strategy in the category, reviewing data from different data sources.
You will translate findings into actionable recommendations for new product development and marketing strategies in our key geographies.
Additionally, you will build and maintain relationships with external research and consultancy partners to enhance the depth and breadth of consumer understanding resources.
COORDINATION & COMMUNICATION:
You will present consumer insights, research findings and your recommendations to marketing stakeholders and the category management team in a clear and compelling manner.
Moreover, you will facilitate effective communication and coordination among different departments and stakeholders, ensuring a seamless flow of information and alignment of goals.
PLANNING & BUDGET MANAGEMENT:
As a Senior Consumer & Shopper Understanding Specialist, you will define the best set of activities (research funnel) to answer the relevant business questions & adapt these when necessary.
On top of this, you will monitor the budget regarding market research activities of the category.
Lastly, you will build partnerships and work in cooperation with Marketing, Other Consumer & Shopper Research Functions, Procurement and external research partners.

Who we are looking for:

You will bring knowledge from a degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, Psychology or a related field, combined with 5-7 years of experience in an Insights/Market or Consumer Research function within a multinational company (preferably consumer goods) and/or a research agency or, alternatively, you may provide experience from a consultancy, project management or innovation management role, eager to learn and enter into the field of consumer insights.
Your project management skills will prove essential in effectively managing the lifecycle of projects and in engaging successfully with relevant stakeholders in each phase. Your familiarity with innovation research could be an additional asset.
You will succeed in this role building on your analytical skills and capabilities in interpreting the consumers’ voice and translating it into actionable insights and recommendations. You may leverage on your ability to combine and analyze data from different sources to uncover insights. Your story-telling skills may help you to translate your findings into compelling presentations to your key business partners. You will leverage your experience and strategic thinking abilities that may allow you to enrich internal discussions with your point of view.
Your excellent interpersonal, communication and coordination skills will prove valuable, as will your ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and international team environment.
Your positive attitude and capability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines will be a strong asset.
Lastly, your familiarity with different cultural contexts can be an advantage.
