Assistant Merchandiser / Merchandiser (Mandarin Speaker)

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities:
- Develop assigned lines from conception to presentation and execution
- Look into costing, study fashion trend and monitor product performance
- Keep abreast of latest development in all aspects of garment making/trend
- Liaise with vendors/suppliers on samples, price negotiation and ensure production and delivery schedule meeting timelines
- Support store functions when necessary
- Promote good teamwork and knowledge sharing among team members
- Perform any other tasks and assignment as and when required
- Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design/Textile & Fashion Design or equivalent
- Require good command of English and Mandarin, to deal with an overseas vendor effectively.
- At least 2 years working experience in apparel design/merchandising
- Knowledge in pattern block, drafting and all general aspect of a garment making including fabric, trim, embroidery, print, MS Excel, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
- May require travelling overseas as and when needed.
- Good problem solving and organizational skills.
- Able to work in a fast pace working environment.
- Able to work independently and with minimum supervision.
- Sound decision-making skills and the ability to plan and prioritise.
- Capable to work well as part of a team and to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people.

- 9.00am – 6.00pm
