Responsibilities

• Perform audits for business operations, finances, compliance with policies and procedures.
• Oversee audit planning and reporting activities according to established policies.
• Supervise audit team to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Evaluate the performance of audit staff and provide appropriate feedback.
• Coordinate with team to review audit findings.
• Prepare reports with audit findings and recommendations.
• Assist in developing budgets and timelines for upcoming audits.
• Evaluate current audit procedures and recommend improvements.
• Evaluate and enhance internal controls to improve operational efficiency.
• Communicate audit status to management on regular basis.
• Discuss with management about audit observations, recommendations and actions to be taken.
• Prepare clear and complete audit work papers and store them in the department repository.
• Analyse and resolve audit issues in a timely fashion.
• Supervising and coaching junior members of staff.
• Visiting clients on-site and being a point of contact for the client throughout the year.

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification and/or a Bachelor degree in accounting.
• ACCA / CPA / ICAEW qualification is an advantage.
• Min. 3-5 years of external audit experience
• Experience of leading and managing audit teams.
• Strong knowledge of understanding of risk-based auditing.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and project management skills.
• Knowledge and experience on data analytics tool will be an advantage.
• Good team player and able to lead a team to work with tight deadlines.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
