Job Description:
As a Chargeman A1, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, ensuring that all equipment and installations are safe and compliant with regulatory standards. You will work closely with the maintenance team to support the continuous and efficient operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Electrical Maintenance:
- Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems, including switchboards, transformers, generators, and other equipment.
- Monitor and ensure the safe operation of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults promptly to minimize downtime.
· Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with local regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect personnel and equipment.
· Preventive Maintenance:
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to enhance the reliability of electrical systems.
- Identify potential issues and recommend improvements to prevent future failures.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and carry out electrical system upgrades and modifications.
· Emergency Response:
- Respond to electrical emergencies and perform corrective actions to restore power and functionality.
- Coordinate with other departments during power outages or electrical system failures.
· Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed logs of all electrical maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Prepare reports on electrical system performance, maintenance activities, and compliance with regulations.
Qualifications:
Certification:
- Valid Chargeman A1 certification from Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission of Malaysia).
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Chargeman A1 or similar role, with hands-on experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting. (Prefered)
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, including switchboards, transformers, and generators.
- Experience in working with electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
