Education Support Advisor - China Market has a key responsibility to ensure that our own and exchange students from China receive a seamless and high-quality service which foster their speedy adaptation into the living conditions in Malaysia and study environment of MILA University.
The line manager of Education Support Advisor - China Market is Head, Teaching and Learning Department.
Responsibilities:

• This role will be a lynchpin, monitoring the experiences of our own and exchange students from China as they navigate life as a MILA University.
• Involve communication and coordination of a wide range of individuals including staff from Department of Student Affairs, academic colleagues, and our own and exchange students from China to deliver an innovative learning experience for our own and exchange students from China within an inclusive, supportive and creative environment.
• Provide academic advising to our own and exchange students from China.
• Build rapport and maintain strong relationship with our own and exchange students from China.
• Be a key point of contact and representative to resolve the queries of our own and exchange students from China on behalf of Department of Student Affairs and Schools. If a query is unable to be resolved by the education support officer, he/she must raise such query to relevant senior staff so that necessary action can be considered.
• Ensure that all activities drive student retention and support progression related activities within the University for our own and exchange students from China.
• Support translation with documents as required.

Requirements

• Must possess at least a Bachelor's degree qualification in either Business and Management or Engineering.
• Candidate who is passionate about student success.
• Candidate must be able to communicate in Mandarin and English.
• Candidate must be able to perform English-Mandarin translation.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Positive attitude towards work and people, self-starter, and a team player.
