Leasing & Store Development Assistant Manager (Elmina East, Shah Alam)

- Plan, implement and execute leasing strategies to meet company goals and is responsible for and will manage all leasing and property management related activities for the Company and its subsidiaries.
- Reviewing and negotiating leases, ensuring compliance with tenancy agreements, managing tenants' agreements, liaising with landlords and tenants, property agents and relevant internal stakeholders in the management and maintenance of the facilities and properties.
- Maintain a register of leases and intellectual property owned by PLC such as trademark registrations.
- Ownership and responsibility for all leasing topics in the area of store development in Malaysia and Singapore (if needed).
- Manage Landlords/Mall Management and Tenants on all leasing matters, negotiations, including lease renewals, enquiries, viewings, analysis and evaluation of proposals.
- Liaise with the legal team in reviewing and negotiating leases, terms and conditions, and to ensure proper documentation in a timely manner.
- Assist in the aspects of project implementation as needed for new outlet setup with regards to landlord’s leasing correspondences.
- Inspect tenants' site and ensure adherence to company's policies and procedures when Tenant had been found to be in breach/violation of the Tenancy/Lease Agreements.
- Engage in developing new stores and managing lease actions.
- Any other duties that are assigned within the course of work
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in retail and store leasing management.
- Proven track record in retail leasing.
- Strong knowledge of store leasing terms and the retail industry.
- Have connections with the person in charge @ major malls and real estate developers.
- Strong organizational skills, meticulous and detail oriented.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Independent, with strong accountability to meet deadlines with time management skills and an ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- store leasing management: 5 years (Preferred)
