Essential Duties :
1) Provide legal support on matters such as data protection, intellectual property, corporate law, commercial law, company secretarial tasks.
2) Draft, review and negotiate legal documents, including contracts, agreements, internal/external correspondence to protect the Company’s interest.
3) Manage and assist in disputes, litigation, and court-related matters, including filing documents and attending hearings.
4) Liaise with external lawyer on legal matters.
5) Stay updated on legislative changes and conduct training sessions on risk management and relevant laws to the employees.
6) Research and evaluate business risk and clarify legal language or specifications for the organization.
7) Ensure business processes comply with regulations, policies, and procedures.
8) Provide compliance and risk control guidance on internal policies, laws and regulations.
9) Analyze regulatory changes and support their implementation in the business.
10) Regularly update the compliance manual and relevant section of the operating manual.
11) Manage registrations, and licenses for our business operations.
12) Design and deliver compliance training and materials.
13) Conduct due diligence reviews on high-risk customers and investigate Anti-Bribery and Corruptions cases.
14) Support regulatory examinations and annual audits.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years working experience in legal, compliance, and risk management environment, preferably within the logistics, shipping, or related industry.
• In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations.
• Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record-keeping.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and high level of integrity.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (both spoken and written) We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Proactive and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Willing to travel if required.

Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
