MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (MECHANICAL)

- Bachelor's Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive maintenance and repair.
- Experience in port equipment maintenance (e.g., reach stackers, forklifts, prime movers, terminal tractors, and other vehicles) is highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of spoken and written Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
The roles are to support the various responsibilities of the Port Equipment Department including:
- Prepare and execute preventative maintenance programs for all port equipment.
- Manage work orders requests, develop time estimates, ensure efficient resource allocation and timely task completion.
- Schedule and execute periodic equipment inspections, troubleshoot, investigate equipment breakdowns, and monitor overall equipment performance.
- React with high urgency to any downtime or equipment breakdown and take immediate actions to rectify issues while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Oversee inventory management and parts procurement processes.
- Liaise with vendors and consultants to resolve complex equipment-related issues.
- Support equipment lifecycle management, including assisting with replacement of equipment and parts as needed.
- Supervise technical staff to optimize work efficiency and maintain proper maintenance operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry best practices in all maintenance activities.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by Management.
