Manager / Assistant Manager - Procurement

Job Responsibilities
  • Plan the purchasing activities involved in purchasing spare parts & tools, products, or services according to the necessary.
  • Continuously strive for improvement in lead times, minimum order size, reduction of purchase costs, and product quality from suppliers.
  • Responsible for negotiating and comparing with suppliers and vendors for the best purchasing package (in terms of quality, price, term, delivery, and service).
  • Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
  • Support in developing and implementing procurement procedures & policies.
  • Build and develop relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Review the quality of purchased products.
  • Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.
  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.
  • Monitoring and execution of all regular purchasing duties.
  • Maintain procurement files and records timely.
Requirements
  • Proven work experience as a purchasing Officer, purchasing agent, or similar role, Minimum 2 years working experience in the construction field.
  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors)
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures
  • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese is preferred, particularly for communication with Chinese counterparts.
  • Location near to LRT/KTM Subang Jaya Station
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
