The Role
Reporting to: Head of Administration and the Head of Prep School
The Prep School Administrator will provide administrative and technical support to the Head of Prep School, Deputy Head (Academic) and Deputy Head (Pastoral) and generally support the smooth running of the Prep School.
Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to the Prep School Leadership Team including but not limited to maintaining teachers’ and pupils’ timetables on the school data management systems, attendance tracking and record keeping.
Provide assistance to Prep School staff with various administration and data management tasks as required.
Handle communication between pupils, parents and the administration, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Oversee the order and distribution of school supplies, equipment and materials as needed, ensuring accessibility and proper inventory management.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date student reports, report card generation and distribution.
Handling incoming calls, emails and direct them to the appropriate person.
Adhere to College policies and procedures as communicated by the College’s management team.

Essential Skills and Abilities

The successful candidate should be able to relate well to people at all levels, be calm and confident under pressure, have a good sense of humour and be able to work as part of a team.
Excellent written and oral communication abilities in English and Bahasa Melayu
Experience of data manipulation in spreadsheets using MS Excel and Google sheets
Expert knowledge of the Google Workspace (G Suite)
Excellent attention to detail
A capacity to show initiative and to be confident and approachable in dealing with staff, parents and children
Able to handle sensitive situations tactfully and confidentially
Able to prioritise multiple demands

Desirable skills and qualifications

Knowledge of the i SAMS management information system
Strong mathematical ability
Knowledge of first aid
Mandarin speaker

Terms and Conditions
Normal working hours are 8.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday during term-time, plus a maximum of 25 additional work days out of term-time.
The remuneration package includes a competitive salary commensurate with the level of experience of the successful candidate. Marlborough College Malaysia will pay for health insurance for you and your eligible dependent/s (if not covered under their own policy).
