• Review and ensure routine QC functions are executed well. Monitor daily inspection outcome and maintain lab competency including testing accuracy and consistency.
• Ensure HACCP system and pre-requisite programs implemented are maintained as per documented SOP. Assist in monitoring, updating, maintaining the food safety management system. Assure the effectiveness of company procedure and implementation.
• Ensure Quality and Food Safety standards in the finished products are met and comply with company, customer and statutory requirements.
• Keep track on raw material receiving status and supplier performance. Raise corrective action request and do necessary follow up to ensure consistency supply.
• Make usage decision or propose disposition for incoming raw material, non-conforming products and finished products, as well as aging products.
• Plan and conduct verification and validation study related to process and product quality and food safety issues.
• Responsible for implementation and maintenance of new testing methods / equipment.
• Train QA personnel on laboratory analyses and ensure QA personnel are competent, testing methods are accurately in place and quality standards are maintained.
• Take lead in troubleshooting of testing methods/equipment. Ensure all the analytical instrument, monitoring and measuring equipment are appropriately maintained and calibrated as per schedule.
• Liaise with operation team on specification, complaint, quality issues in addressing the corrective action and preventive action for continuous improvement. Work closely with production team in order to ensure smooth operation
• Assist in company system audit program.
• Ensure good data and record management with regards to storage, retrieval and disposal.
• Initiate activities related to continuous improvements on the product’s quality from time to time.
• Understand and maintain the implementation of 5S, GMP, GLP, PRP, HACCP and SAP system.
• Undertake any other related job as directed by Superior from time to time.
• Ensure safety, 5S, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
