1. Chair meeting for the Environmental Resource and Chemical Management Committee (ERCMC), Environmental Performance Monitoring Committee (EPMC) and Safety and Health Committee (SHC)
2. Ensure adherence to the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and its regulations, including the Factories and Machinery Act 1967 and its regulations
3. Comply with the Environmental Quality Act 1974 and its regulations, including the Environmental Quality (Clean Air) Regulations 2014, Environmental Quality (Industrial Effluent) Regulations 2009, and Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005
4. Ensure compliance with the Fire Services Act 1988 (CF) and the Street, Drainage and Building Act 1974 (SPKA) and their respective regulations
5. Liaise with Gas Malaysia as per the Gas Supply Act 1990 and Gas Supply Regulations 1997
6. Coordinate with the local authority (MBPG) in accordance with relevant local by-laws and regulations
7. Liaise with the Energy Commission as per the Electricity Supply Act 1990 and its regulations
8. Develop and implement a comprehensive schedule waste management program in accordance with the Environmental Quality Act 1974 and Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005
9. Oversee the operations and maintenance of the on-site wastewater treatment plant in compliance with the Environmental Quality Act 1974 and Environmental Quality (Industrial Effluent) Regulations 2009
10. Manage and monitor sewage treatment processes and systems in accordance with the Environmental Quality Act 1974 and its regulations
11. Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of bag filters in compliance with the Environmental Quality Act 1974 and Environmental Quality (Clean Air) Regulations 2014
12. Coordinate with KPDNHEP for matters related to diesel storage and handling as per the Petroleum (Safety Measures) Act 1984 and its regulations
13. Coordinate with KPDNHEP for matters related to weighing and measuring equipment as per the Weights and Measures Act 1972 and its regulations
14. Implement and maintain an ISO 14001-certified Environmental Management System (EMS)
15. Implement and maintain an ISO 45001-certified Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OH&S MS)
16. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies as per relevant Acts and Regulations
17. Conduct environmental impact assessments as required by the Environmental Quality Act 1974 and its regulations
18. Prepare and submit required reports, permit applications, and documentation to regulatory authorities as per relevant Acts and Regulations
19. Develop and deliver training programs on EHS best practices, regulatory requirements, and emergency preparedness as per relevant Acts and Regulations
20. Managing Competent Team of Certified Professionals

• Ensure the team maintains their certifications and expertise
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to the appropriate certified professionals
• Provide guidance and support to the team members
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team
